    Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Practice Leader to build and lead an Environmental Practice in Seattle, WA!

    Responsibilities

    + Has an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for our Environmental practice team while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.

    + We are seeking a leader with background in business development, managing relationships with clients, supporting and leading environmental planning projects, and leading and mentoring team members.

    + Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

    + Project Managers are encouraged to pursue opportunities that fuel their professional passion and contribute to firmwide success.

    + Leadership responsibilities include:

    + Lead a team while building and managing relationships with key clients.

    + Operate with integrity and sound business principles.

    + Provide practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships.

    + Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing a Community Planning Services practice.

    + Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model.

    + Facilitate communication and collaboration with clients, government agencies, landowners, and other relevant stakeholders.

    + Ensure that the project adheres to zoning regulations, environmental laws, and other legal requirements.

    + Identify potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

    + Ensure that the project is executed with a high level of quality and meets the client's expectations.

    Qualifications

    + 15+ years of experience managing environmental projects in the local area with a demonstrated ability to manage those projects profitably

    + Bachelors Degree or higher in city or regional planning or related

    + Strong experience with CEQA/NEPA in the state

    + Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, county, regional and state agencies

    + Provide high quality deliverables with exceptional client service

    + A desire to lead and grow a planning practice

    + Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.

    + Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization

    + Experience leading, mentoring and managing staff in a positive manner

    Salary & Benefits

    + _Salary Range: $150,000 – $2000,000 (commensurate with experience)_

    + _Bonus Program: Eligible for lucrative performance-based incentives_
