    Summary:

    Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    **Required Certification:** BLS (Basic Life Support) - Relevant Specialty; Patient Care Technician - If applicable; OR Reference summary for details; Active CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within seven days of hire if enrolled in the PCT internship and prior to patient contact or required on hire.

    **Preferred** **Credentials:** EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

    **Minimum requirements include** one of the following: 6 months acute care experience; or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or successfully completes a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN); or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only; or completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes a clinical component.

    **Preferred** **Experience:** 1 year - Hospital in related field.
