Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide direct observation and patient care of the assigned patient and assure a safe environment for the care of the assigned patient under the direction of the RN, Nursing Supervisor/Manager while providing superior patient care and customer service to patients, patient families, physicians, and all hospital staff.

What you will do in this role:

+ Observe patient behaviors, communications and physical or behavioral changes to the care team while providing a safe environment.

+ Appropriately responds to patient aggression or violence where appropriate.

+ Establishes effective relationships with client, family, co-workers, and supervisors.

+ Achieving professional goals set during previous evaluation period.

+ Demonstrates professional behavior and always conduct.

+ Demonstrates and maintains good employee/peer relationship and teamwork.

+ Demonstrates good communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians and healthcare teams.

+ Transports patients in a safe and timely manner using appropriate equipment for patient age and weight.

+ Participates in Performance Improvement activities.

+ Demonstrates ability to consistently perform technical skills and follow through with assignments.

+ Prioritize work duties and work well under stressful situations.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ 1 year of experience with progressive responsibilities in the Behavioral Health Setting preferred
