Senior Manager, Application Development (Python & Spark) - Vice President

Citi Funds Transfer Pricing Application has been built and rolled out to execute Funds Transfer Pricing (“FTP”) Policy globally across Citigroup and for all businesses. Fund Transfer Pricing is a key regulatory function and is very important in how Citi determines the internal transfer price when allocating funds between businesses and treasury. This FTP allocation adjusts the revenues/expenses of businesses for the costs/ benefits associated with funding and liquidity risks taken through asset and liability generation. CitiFTP Application will consolidate the FTP process as a single stop solution to reflect funding costs flowing through a standardized, transparent, and consistent framework with robust oversight and governance.

As a **Senior Development Manager** , you will:

- Lead and inspire a team of developers working on cutting-edge applications.

- Architect solutions using Python, Apache Spark, and distributed systems on HDFS and Oracle platforms.

- Drive AI/ML adoption, integrating Generative AI tools to transform business processes.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful, future-ready solutions.

- Own the technical roadmap and guide development best practices.

- Build and optimize large-scale data workflows.

- Champion innovation with AI/ML integration.

- Ensure quality, security, and compliance across all deliverables.

What We’re Looking For:

- Expertise in Python, Spark, and distributed computing.

- Experience with HDFS, Oracle databases, and enterprise-scale systems.

- Familiarity with Gen AI and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications:

+ BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience

+ 6-10+ years of experience in architecting data and analytics solutions on modern architectures

+ 5+years’ experience with one or more SQL on Big Data / Hadoop technologies (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL)

+ 5+ years’ experience with containers (Openshift Platform/Docker)

+ Experience in systems scalability and performance optimization

+ Experience with CI/CD continuous integration tools like GitHub

+ Great communication and teamwork skills; must be able to work effectively with others within and across departments

+ Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and a decision maker

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
