Job Summary and Qualifications

The **Assistant Controller** is responsible for the supervision of the accounting department and for the daily general ledger entry. This position must ensure that the elements comprising the financial records of the hospital are accurate and properly stated. The Assistant Controller also ensures that the hospital is compliant with HCAHO, HCA, GAAP standards, and helps prepare workpapers including Medicare Cost Reports, budgeting process, year-end closing, bad-debt review, Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The Assistant Controller will assist the Controller and Chief Financial Officer in directing and coordinating the financial activities of the Hospital which include accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal control functions, and other duties as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

+ 2+ years of experience in Accounting required; Accounting experience in healthcare preferred

+ Previous supervisory experience preferred
