    Job Summary and Qualifications

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The ContractCoordinatoris responsible formaintainingcurrent contracts, creating new contracts,checkingall HCA legal requirements, generatingcontractual payments.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.Manage the overall contract and amendment process

    1. Generate new contracts.

    1. Review all contracts forcomplete/appropriate content.

    1. Ensure compliance with legal department requirements.

    1. Maintain andfollow-upon outstanding contract issues.

    1. Maintain contact with contractors, directors,and attorneysregardingnew and existing contracts.

    1. Prepare andsubmitphysicianpaymentsin accordance withcontractual agreements.

    1. Monitor payment authorizationin accordance withcontractual agreements.

    1. Maintainall tracking logs used for governmental compliance, internal and external audit.

    1. Prepares valuation requests, coordinates with other hospitals as needed to obtain required information, and communicates with valuation firms for completion

    1. Creation, implementation, and maintenance of a method of efficient approvals from each hospital administration for non-physician contracts.

    1. Establish andmaintaina filing system for all contracts

    1. Interface and communicate with various parties and/or departments including but not limited to facility administration, department leadership, legal counsel, referral source providers, valuators, accounting, and corporate departments.

    1. Initiate monthly reviews with facilities to discuss new and current contracts in process as well as contracts that are due for renewal.

    2. Managethe Payment Process

    1. Prepare andsubmitcontractor paymentsin accordance withcontractual agreements.

    1. Understand and applyfederal and state laws, as well as HCA policies,regardingpayments to referral sources.

    1. Recognizeappropriate documentationnecessary for paymentand remedyincomplete documentation.

    1. Monitor payment authorizationin accordance withcontractual agreements.

    1. Maintainall tracking logs used for governmental compliance, as well as for internal and external audits

    KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES:

    Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliancetoall safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA andContinental Division.Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Establishes andmaintainsgood communications and guest relations with clients, healthcareprovidersand staff.Has a high degree of responsibility forconfidential matters. Make decisions of limited capacity with high profile public. Acts as information source on organizational policies and procedures. Assistsinestablishingoffice policies and procedures and coordinates special projects and department activities. Other key attributesinclude:self-starter, self-confident, results-oriented, motivator of others, facilitator, effective planner, high energy level, professional appearance and attitude, and high ethical and moral standards.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Required:High School Graduate with a minimum of two years of Administrative Assistant experience

     

    Preferred:Bachelor’s Degreefrom an accredited BusinessSchool.
