**On Site :** This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Defense Production Facility on a full-time basis (shift is four 10's, Monday - Thursday).

The Role:

As a leader in Supply Chain, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of individual contributors for one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain Organization: manufacturing/ warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management.

You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.

What You'll Do:

+ Responsible for leading the Supply Chain office operations for direct materials including purchased parts, production planning, and customer orders.

+ Leads crisis management for supplier issues and manages premium transportation.

+ Ensures correct inventories for all components – T1, Bailment, Catalog.

+ Coordinates Annual Physical Inventory and reconciles gains/losses.

+ Completes mid-year and year-end salary CAP assessments.

+ Supports GMS and BIQ 4 initiatives for SLT principals as a Subject Matter Expert.

+ Leads cost reduction initiates pertaining to inventory management and premium transportation.

+ Audits SAP data for inventory accuracy.

+ Supervises, trains and develops salaried employees

+ Follow-up on problem solving initiatives related to stock discrepancies

+ Supports material activities surrounding a plan for every part for MVB and all launch activities

+ Interfaces with Central Office allocation on part issues as required

+ Implements, monitors and maintains GMS elements

+ Investigates supplier claims of unpaid bills

+ Investigates duplicate receipts

+ Performs a daily audit of record adjustments including MR/DR reviews

+ Responsible for stock / record balance accuracy

+ Ensure GM inventory and capital investment is protected

+ Develop and implement cost savings projects

Physical Requirements:

+ Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must

+ Drive vehicles and equipment when needed

+ Comfortably wear personal protective equipment

+ Ability to walk and stand for extended periods

+ Navigate a busy warehouse

+ Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach

+ May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs. depending on department

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

+ Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Supply chain, Industrial) or equivalent experience

+ Minimum 5 years of equivalent experience (Mfg. and Supply chain)

+ High level of analytical ability & problem solving where problems are unusual and difficult.

+ Experience with using SAP/MGO/Oracle or similar ERP, MS-Office tools (Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint)
