What you will do:
+ Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
+ Leads daily operation of clinical area. Develops and updates staff schedules; assures coverage of assigned area(s). Addresses issues promptly by reporting, directing next steps and/or resolving via chain of leadership. Offers suggestions to improve services and viable options for potential solutions.
+ Leads staff in utilizing Process Excellence concepts daily for continuous improvement. Identifies areas of focus. Ensures evidenced based imaging care.
+ Provides informal coaching, discipline, mentoring and guidance relating to Imaging Services matters, as appropriate. Administers and documents disciplinary action as appropriate.
+ Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with staff, radiologists, and other management regarding equipment, staffing, and other items that impact operations. Actively listens and helps others positively manage change and deal with stressful situations.
+ Facilitates staff interviews, training/orientation, and evaluations/competency assessments. Provides input on hiring decisions,
+ Assists with development, review and revision of departmental policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all government and regulatory bodies to achieve maximum accreditation. Ensures the completion of QA activities, maintains current relevant documentation.
+ Works collaboratively with radiologists to maintain quality in every aspect of pertinent modality.
Qualifications:
+ Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Imaging Services through equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors in a healthcare discipline preferred and 2+ years of experience in specialty of supervision.
+ Must have relevant credentials as defined below:
+ Successful completion of an accredited program.
+ Maintains active registry status in ARRT, ARDMS, or appropriate professional organization.
+ Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
+ Maintains Basic Life Support qualification.
+ No disciplinary actions in file (written notice or above)
+ 3-5 minimum years of experience in Sonography.
Education and Licensure :
+ Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS/ARRT) with two of the following.
+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
+ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
+ Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
+ Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
+ Maintains active registry status with ARDMS/ARRT (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
