Overview

We are seeking a RN House Supervisor , sometimes referred to as a Hospital House Supervisor or Clinical House Supervisor. The RN House Supervisor will ensur e smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. Th e RN Supervisor i s the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Shift’s Available : Days 7am-7pm

Employment Type : Per-Diem (PRN / PD)

Location : Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mequite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

+ May directly intervene in emergency situations, including patient codes, Rapid Response activations, or behavioral escalations

+ Monitors patient flow: supervise bed availability and coordinates admissions, discharges, and inter-unit transfers

+ Work closely with the emergency department (ED), intensive care units (ICU), med-surg floors, and ancillary departments (lab, imaging, pharmacy) to avoid bottlenecks

+ Manage staffing by evaluating unit needs based on census, patient acuity, and absences; reallocates existing staff and coordinates float pool, per diem, or agency support

+ Prepare comprehensive shift reports and documents critical incidents—including patient complaints, staff conflicts, injuries, and safety concerns

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

+ Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.

+ Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

+ ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

+ Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

+ One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
