    Overview

     

    We are seeking a n Emergency Room Nursing Assistant , Emergency Department Nursing Assistant (ED NA ) or Emergency Room NA (ER NA). An Emergency Room N ursing Assistant (ER NA) assists nurses and doctors in the emergency room / emergency department by providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, helping with procedures, and ensuring medical supplies are stocked. Emergency Room Nursing Assistant s also transport patients, document observations, maintain infection control, and offer emotional support in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment , under the direction and supervision of a nurse. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed .

     

    Shift’s Available:   Nights

     

    Employment Type: Full-Time

     

    Hours: 7:00PM - 7:00AM

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Help patients with basic needs (bathing, dressing, toileting), reposition and transfer patients as needed

    + Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), assist with wound care and dressing changes under supervision

    + Prepare rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked, transport patients within the hospital (to imaging or other departments)

    + Assist with procedures (e.g., setting up equipment, applying splints), perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support if certified

    + Record patient information and observations, report changes in patient condition to nurses or doctors and provide emotional support to patients and families

    + Clean and sanitize patient areas and equipment, follow hospital protocols to prevent infection spread

    Qualifications

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

    + Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

    Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

    + Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.

    + Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
