Position Summary:
With minimal guidance in a team environment, perform maintenance, repair, installation, and overhaul of complex facility systems, production equipment, and NC/CNC machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation and Relocation
• Relocate, install, align, and commission production machinery; install air and water lines from main supply to point of use; adjust machines for production operation.
• Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation to meet performance requirements.
Electrical Systems
• Recommend conduit routing, develop material lists, and estimate job duration.
Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Assist with design, construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of test stands, fixtures, and related hydraulic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic valves, actuators, accumulators, filters, piping, and compressors; support tube bending and piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
Planning and Coordination
• Use precision test equipment, plan sequences of operations and methods for complex repair and overhaul activities.
• Coordinate and schedule work orders; determine manpower requirements to meet timelines.
• Utilize computers and software to create programs, reports, and spreadsheets.
Hazardous Materials
• Coordinate purchase, inventory, delivery, and pickup of hazardous materials; maintain current on-site chemical inventory.
• Advise and assist with chemical spill response and cleanup.
• Coordinate packaging, labeling, storage, and scheduling of hazardous waste for offsite disposal; maintain accurate shipment records.
• Initiate compliance inspections and provide technical guidance on hazardous material compliance and safe practices.
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Seven (7) years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities described.
• Proficiency in reading and working from schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and machine tool testing procedures.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and valves; ability to diagnose high-pressure fluid dynamics and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to repair and troubleshoot compressors and general infrastructure equipment.
• Strong mechanical repair skills for equipment and machines.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; customer-service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and serve as a participative team player.
• Possession of required tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures; aerospace equipment experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of national, state, and local electrical codes.
• Thorough knowledge of electronic theory as applied to NC/CNC and standard machines; mechanical principles; machine shop mathematics (including trigonometry); and machining properties of metals.
• Thorough knowledge of general hydraulics technology (pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, piping).
• Knowledge of chemical handling and characteristics; experience with hazardous materials management.
• Working knowledge of computer software for program creation, reporting, and spreadsheet maintenance.
• Forklift operator certification.
Physical and Work Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to set up and operate hand and power tools safely.
• Use of precision test equipment as required for diagnostics and calibration
Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $36.8/hr to $54.95/hr
