    Our client, a leading organization in the financial industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be an integral part of Arbitration Support, providing essential administrative and case management support to ensure smooth and efficient arbitration processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate polished professionalism, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to work, aligning successfully with the organization’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

     

    Job Title: Legal Assistant

    Job Type: Contract (Potential for Extension and/or Conversion)

    Pay Rate: $34.50/hr W2

     

    _Please Note: Parking costs are not covered, parking is $25/hr - $30/hr daily._

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Analyze arbitration pleadings and prepare case documentation.

    + Appoint arbitrators to cases and manage related scheduling and communication.

    + Reviews lists of arbitrators and arbitrator information for conflicts and consolidates and/or extends lists, as needed, with limited assistance.

    + Coordinate and schedule conference calls, hearings, and meetings, including off-site locations.

    + Maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and communicate with counsel and arbitrators effectively.

    + Processes and reviews arbitrator expense reports and invoices for submission to the Financial Department.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor's Degree required with at least 1+ year of experience in a legal environment supporting multiple attorneys.

    + Experience or interest in arbitration-related work is preferred.

    + Demonstrates willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability prioritize multiple tasks independently.

    + Excellent professionalism with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for teamwork.

    + Demonstrate discretion and sound judgment, due to the confidential nature of the work.
