Our client is seeking a Business Analyst/Consultant III to join their team. As a Business Analyst/Consultant, you will be part of the Contract Management department supporting IT contract lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Business Analyst/Consultant
Duration: 12+ months with possible extension
What's the Job?
+ Manage the entire IT contract lifecycle, including amendments, modifications, and enforcement of performance clauses.
+ Act as the key contact and subject-matter expert for contract-related activities involving IT services, hardware, and software across the County.
+ Assist with statutory analysis and negotiate contract terms, conditions, incentives, and remedies to meet organizational needs.
+ Coordinate with procurement and stakeholders to identify optimal vendor terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and value.
+ Resolve contract issues, mitigate delays, support audits, mediate disputes, and escalate issues as necessary.
What's Needed?
+ Five or more years of experience in contract management or paralegal work, particularly with technology or IT service agreements.
+ Knowledge of best practices in IT contract negotiation tactics and strategies.
+ Ability to assess contractual and financial exposure and negotiate effectively.
+ Experience bridging communication between IT and business units to structure contracts aligned with organizational goals.
+ Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vendors and contracts simultaneously.
