Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1, you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting infrastructure management and maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

**Location:** Boydton, VA

**Duration:** 18 Months on W2

**Pay Range:** $23 - $26/hour + Benefits & PTO

What's the Job?

+ Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission process

+ Run, label, and stage power and networking cables for removal (DBD removal only)

+ Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under guidance

+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions and standard procedures

+ Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets to ensure accuracy and compliance

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components

+ Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

+ Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays

+ Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in a team environment
