Our client, a global leader in design and manufacturing of industrial drives is seeking multiple Engineering Technicians to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in soldering extremely small components (microscopic work) in addition to testing of circuitry with common test equipment like DMM’s, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and more. Rework skills are important as well as system level testing of high voltage equipment. These jobs are local to the Milwaukee, WI area and will not be supporting visa candidates.

**Job Title:** Engineering Technician III

**Pay:** $33-38/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications include analog, digital and power electronic systems.

Independently works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and defined plans to perform modifications, testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.

Performs test set-up, qualification and agency certification testing, and data capture for test reports with minimal supervision and guidance.

Uses test, development, and diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, current and voltage probes, waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, and specialized test apparatus.

Requirements

+ Solder experience as small as 0402/0201 components

+ Experience cutting traces, adding jumper wires, and soldering components that don’t match pads on heavy copper (up to 5oz) and multi-layer (up to 14) PCBs

+ Experience using DMMs

+ Experience using oscilloscopes

+ Experience working with high voltage (over 50V)
