Our client, a dedicated workforce development organization, is seeking a Career Counselor to join their team. As a Career Counselor, you will be part of the Employment Support Department supporting job seekers and program participants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Career Counselor

**Location:** Tampa, FL

Pay Range: $18-19/hr

What's the Job?

+ Coordinate services to customers including the development, implementation, and tracking of applications through a database.

+ Provide coaching on program requirements, employment strategies, vocational training, and job search techniques.

+ Develop individualized career goal-oriented plans to help customers achieve stable, self-sufficient employment.

+ Maintain a caseload, working through the application and approval process.

+ Maintain accurate records of customer progress and input data into program tracking systems.

What's Needed?

+ Valid Florida Driver's License.

+ Effective oral and written communication skills.

+ Knowledge of customer service principles and employment services regulations.

+ Experience with online job exchange systems and keyword search engines.

+ Understanding of federal and state laws related to public employment services.
