Our client, an industry leader in agricultural biotechnology, is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join their innovative team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be an integral part of the Crop Transformation Systems within the Biotechnology/Trait Discovery and Optimization department.

**Job Title:** Laboratory Technician

**Location:** Johnston, IA

**Pay Range:** $22 per hour

What's the Job?

+ Follow standard operating procedures to generate high-quality transgenic and genome editing events for trait discovery and product development.

+ Prepare explants, perform transformation, and regenerate tissue to produce transgenic or genome-edited plants.

+ Maintain accurate electronic and legal notebook records, summarizing results and identifying areas for improvement.

+ Execute laboratory work adhering to safety and ergonomic standards, organizing daily workflow to meet project timelines.

+ Collaborate effectively with team members, exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Experience in plant transformation or related laboratory techniques preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

+ Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols diligently.

+ Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
