Our client, a leading organization in the data management and technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the technical infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

**Location:** Boydton, VA

**Duration:** 18 Months on W2

**Pay Range:** $23- $26/hour

Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)

What's the Job?

+ Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission process

+ Run, label, and stage power and networking cables for DBD removal (without scanning)

+ Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under guidance

+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic hardware startups and shutdowns following written instructions and standard procedures

+ Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets to ensure accuracy and compliance

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components

+ Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

+ Flexibility to work non-standard business hours including weekends and holidays

+ Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred
