We are seeking an experienced Oracle Functional Lead to drive the implementation, optimization, and support of Oracle Financials Cloud applications. This role serves as the bridge between Finance and IT, translating complex business needs into scalable Oracle solutions that enhance financial operations. You would bring deep expertise in Oracle modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and Tax, along with a solid command of finance processes, reporting, and compliance. They will lead multi-functional initiatives, manage full-cycle deployments, and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems. A key focus will be aligning Oracle capabilities with business goals while driving user adoption and continuous improvement.
A typical day may include the following:
_Ownership of R2R Processes_
+ Govern financial system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance across all Oracle-enabled R2R processes.
+ Lead complex Oracle Cloud implementations, upgrades, and rollouts across multiple business units and geographies.
+ Establish and enforce governance frameworks for SOX compliance, audit readiness, and internal control effectiveness.
+ Demonstrable ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to design scalable Oracle solutions.
+ Experience working closely with developers, solution architects, and data engineers to ensure functional designs are technically feasible, performance-optimized, and aligned with enterprise architecture.
+ Skilled in writing and reviewing functional design documents (FDDs) and technical design documents (TDDs), ensuring traceability from business need to system delivery.
+ Ability to lead fit-gap analysis sessions, identifying where standard Oracle functionality meets business needs and where customizations or extensions are required.
+ Comfortable engaging in discussions about data models, security roles, workflow configurations, and reporting logic, while maintaining a business-first perspective.
_Process Design and Improvement_
+ Architect scalable, future-proof Oracle solutions that optimize financial close, intercompany processing, and reconciliation workflows.
+ Drive continuous improvement through process reengineering, automation, and adoption of Oracle standard processes.
+ Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to standardize and harmonize financial processes across regions and entities.
+ Define benchmarks and success metrics to measure process efficiency and system performance.
_Cross-Functional Collaboration_
+ Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, Procurement, HR, and external partners to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
+ Influence enterprise architecture decisions by representing Finance in multi-functional forums.
+ Collaborate with data and analytics teams to deliver integrated reporting solutions using OTBI, BI Publisher, and Smart View.
+ Assist with multi-functional workshops to align business requirements with Oracle capabilities and roadmap.
The role may be for you if:
+ You have Oracle Cloud certifications in Financials
+ You are experienced with global rollouts and multi-entity environments
+ You are familiar with Agile or hybrid project methodologies
+ You employ knowledge of integration tools and middleware (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs)
+ You can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
To be considered, we are expecting you to have 10 years of experience in Oracle Financials with at least 3 years in Oracle Cloud. You also have a proven track record of leading Oracle Financials implementations or major upgrades. We require you to have a bachelors degree at a minimum. Lastly, we require you to be onsite in Sleepy Hollow, NY 4 days a week.
