• Senior Software Engineer

    BCMC (Washington, DC)


     

    BCMC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with knowledge and experience in modern backend technology stacks and a history of leading software modernization and maintenance projects.

     

    Clearance: Must be U.S. Citizen to be eligible for DoD Secret security clearance.

     

    Core Work Hours: 7a-4p Monday – Friday, except Government Holidays

     

    Place of Performance: Onsite at the US Capital Building

     

    Certifications: Must be eligible for COMPTIA Security+

    Candidates need to have at least five years of relevant experience in the areas described below:

    + Building applications with .NET (C#)

    + Experience developing and maintaining GraphQL APIs

    + Experience working with Postgres and/or MSSQL databases

    + Experience building/maintaining system data models/schemas

    + Experience leading development teams as the Senior engineer on projects

    + Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, Docker (Containers), and CI/CD pipeline implementations

    + Experience working independently and in a team environment, providing guidance to more junior developers on the team

    + Experience engaging with stakeholders and gathering requirements

    + Experience with Legislative Computer Systems (LCS) in the House of Representatives

    + Experience with developing legislative systems and/or working with legislative data

    Strong knowledge and experience with one or more of the following are considered a plus:

    + Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies

    + Experience with MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js) and React.js
