    This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

     

    The AWS Business Consulting and Advisory Partners Org (BCAP) works with major advisory/management consulting firms to bring cloud computing to enterprises around the globe.

    As a Principal PDM, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform within the strategic advisory community and their clients.

    Key job responsibilities

    Your responsibilities will include developing deep business, strategic, and technical relationships with your assigned Advisory/Management Consulting firms and their client base. You will work to identify areas where AWS and your assigned Advisory/Management Consulting firm partner can jointly unlock significant business potential. You will work closely with the AWS Sales team to drive the day-to-day interactions with our partners and enterprise customers in order to create long-term business opportunities. You’ll work closely with AWS Sales, AWS Solution Architects and your assigned Advisory/Management Consulting firm partners to identify and conceptualize innovative industry specific solutions that drive transformational change for the industry. Finally, you will leverage your relationships and experience within the C-Suite to become a trusted advisor to your external and internal partners driving innovation, business outcomes, and industry transformation with marquee enterprise customers.

     

    Your business background will enable you to drive engagement at the CxO/VP level. Your technology experience will enable you to easily interact with our solution architects and professional service teams. Your strategic thinking skills, business analytics skills, and technology experience will provide the ability to develop and convey compelling value propositions and build consensus across the organization.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or client management experience; or

     

    - 10+ years experience working for or working in concert with the top-tier Advisory/ Management Consulting community; and

     

    - 5+ years of experience in the technology industry

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience with alliances or partnerships

     

    - Business enablement experience in Cloud Computing with respect to how companies are leveraging these capabilities to drive business outcomes and the challenges they face in achieving them.

     

    - Experience with account management, relationship management and solution selling

     

    - Industry experience in Auto, Manufacturing, Healthcare/Life Sciences, or Financial Services

     

    - MBA or equivalent degree

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
