Duration: 6 month contract
Pay rate: $28/hour
+ Responsible for providing administrative, analytical, computing and staff support for the department.
+ Executes assignments and tasks requiring data collection, information gathering, analysis, data entry/retrieval, data base maintenance, and forms and graphics generation utilizing a variety of software.
+ Assists in the work involved in determining whether department activities and programs are essential and are carried out economically and efficiently.
+ Assists in the analysis of operational problems; compiles and interprets data.
+ Prepares comprehensive reports, presentations, and official correspondence.
+ Contributes to the recruitment, retention, motivation, and development of staff under the direction of leadership
+ Appraises the adequacy and effectiveness of computer systems; assists in the development of the organizational structure and methods of operation necessary for the performance of existing, new, or expanded functions.
+ Assists in the planning, developing, and conducting of analytical studies of existing operations and routines to determine feasibility for computerization and makes recommendations as needed.
+ Maintains current inventory of computers, printers, etc. v Tracks all help desk tickets through to completion.
+ Assists in developing, preparing, and executing budgets, plans of organization, and methods; assists in evaluating budget requests and making recommendations on these requests.
+ Assists in the analysis of the administrative and budget implications of legislation as required.
+ Researches major purchases & makes recommendations.
+ Monitors expenses, assists with procurement process. v Maintains and orders supplies and equipment.
+ Undertakes routine office assignments.
+ Generates routine writing and editing.
+ Distributes informational material according to Department procedure/practice. v Responds to inquiries as directed.
+ Prepares for meetings including setup, breakdown and note taking for minutes.
+ Arrives promptly at assigned meetings at least 15-20 minutes before the meeting is scheduled to start.
+ Ensures that the conference room table is set up with meeting packets including agenda, minutes, other hand-outs.
+ Ensures sign-in sheet is available and update to date for current meeting; ensures receipt of signatures. v Ensures recorder is set up prior to start time or arrival of attendees.
+ Timely distribution of minutes for review by chair. v Timely follow through with edits and corrections.
+ Serves as principal liaison between the department and other administrative units such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, and Hospital Information Services and Technology.

**Pay Details:** $28.00 per hour
