Olsten Staffing is partnering with a well-established company in the Cheraw, South Carolina area in recruiting for a **baler operator** . Please apply now if you would like to be a part of a great company!

A **baler operator** is responsible for operating baling equipment to compress, bind, and package materials into bales.

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the baler, as well as monitoring the flow of materials and ensuring they are loaded correctly into the baler. Will be responsible for moving materials with forklift and must possess a valid driver's license to operate forklift.

Responsibilities/Duties:

+ Inspect, sort, and bale all waste cardboard and plastic

+ Operate forklift

+ Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction.

+ Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler)

+ General Housekeeping

Qualifications:

+ Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals

+ Forklift experience

+ Valid driver's license or forklift certification card

+ Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team

+ Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology

Physical Requirements:

+ Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking

+ May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping

+ Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.

+ Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs

This position will start at $14 an hour and is predominantly 3rd shift.

**Pay Details:** $14.00 per hour
