    Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in the Pageland, South Carolina area to find an experienced and eager **Electrical Assistant** to join their growing team!

     

    An **Electrical Assistant** supports licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role is typically entry-level and involves hands-on work, tool handling, and learning electrical practices while following safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist electricians with installing wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and electrical panels

    + Carry, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials

    + Measure, cut, and bend conduit under supervision

    + Help troubleshoot electrical issues and perform basic repairs

    + Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area

    + Follow all safety rules, codes, and procedures

    + Load and unload materials at job sites

    + Perform basic electrical tasks as skills develop

    Required Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

    + Basic knowledge of electrical tools and safety practices

    + Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

    + Willingness to learn electrical systems and techniques

    + Physical ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in various environments

    + Preferred Qualifications

    + Enrollment in or completion of an electrical training or apprenticeship program

    + Previous construction or electrical experience

    + Familiarity with local electrical codes

    Skills and Abilities:

    + Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Basic math and measurement skills

    + Dependable and punctual

    + Good communication and teamwork skills

    This position will start at $19.00 an hour.
