Summary This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland . Responsibilities Advise Agency mangers on new developments and advances in security processes, methods, techniques, systems, and devices. Implements the process to accept and manage marking and designation of CUI in accordance with existing processes based in laws, regulations, and Government-wide policies. Plans, develops, and performs program evaluations; accomplishes continual program oversight; performs studies, analyses, and forecasts; and provides authoritative advice and assistance to Bureau managers and officials on security programs. Independently plans, develops, and implements security policies and procedures to ensure that classified material is received, transmitted, handled and stored. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience implementing and evaluation systems for information security in one or more of the major security program functional areas such as: controlled unclassified information, operations and/or industrial. Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Education There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level. Individuals who do not meet the applicable SPeD certification requirements must obtain it within two years after the first duty day in this position.
