    About the Role:

    As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records across our projects and business units. You’ll work closely with project managers in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values initiative and professional growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and process journal entries and account reconciliations; assist with month-end closings

    + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment validation

    + Aid in payroll processing and expense report verification

    + Monitor project budgets and costs; handle job cost allocation

    + Collaborate with project managers to ensure correct expense coding and allocation

    + Maintain accounting records and documentation in compliance with company policies

    + Contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency initiatives

    Requirements

    What You’ll Bring:

    + Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    + 3+ years of accounting experience (project-based accounting preferred)

    + Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency

    + Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

    + Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

    Preferred Skills:

    + Job costing or project-based accounting experience

    + Familiarity with contract billing or vendor management

    + Knowledge of accounting practices in engineering or construction sectors
