Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can lead accounting functions, ensure compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in budgeting, payroll, and liaising with external auditors.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit collections.
• Prepare journal entries, invoices, and credit memos to ensure accurate financial records.
• Handle payroll processes and manage employee benefits efficiently.
• Conduct treasury and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Produce monthly and annual financial statements and collaborate with external tax accountants.
• Work closely with an independent accounting firm to ensure compliance with legal and financial standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets in partnership with organizational leadership.
• Reconcile monthly accounting records with physical stock and perform obsolescence analyses.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports for regional sales managers and corporate headquarters.
• Oversee personnel management, including human resources functions and company insurance policies. Requirements • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements and journal entries.
• Ability to conduct bank reconciliations and manage treasury operations effectively.
• Familiarity with personnel management, including employee benefits and insurance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with external auditors and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
