    Description

    Our client is seeking an interim Director of Accounting with specialized expertise in BlackLine for a 3 month contract with potential to extend. This position is onsite in Plano, TX, five days per week and will directly oversee a small accounting team.

    Responsibilities:

    -Lead BlackLine operations, including overseeing financial data feeds to Great Plains and navigating regular changes

     

    -Serve as the subject matter expert for BlackLine processes, journal entries, and reconciliations, addressing outstanding or delayed reconciliations in partnership with a separate reconciliation group.

     

    -Collaborate cross-functionally to design, build, and implement enhancements within BlackLine as well as support multicurrency and fixed asset process improvements.

     

    -Support end-user training and user acceptance testing for accounting systems as needed.

    Requirements

    -Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.

     

    -Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

     

    -Hands-on experience with accounting software, including BlackLine.

     

    - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

     

    -Proven track record overseeing BlackLine, customizations, and ongoing operations, preferably in a multi-entity environment

     

    -Deep understanding of journal entry workflows and reconciliation processes in BlackLine

     

    -Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

     

    - Ability to effectively communicate financial insights to diverse audiences.
