Description

Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client out in McCarran, Nevada. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity and requires someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The role involves managing invoice processing and other accounts payable tasks while adapting to new systems and workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Process and accurately code invoices to ensure timely payments.

• Input and maintain bills in the accounts payable system to support financial operations.

• Handle up to 50 invoices weekly, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.

• Collaborate with team members and provide support around the office as needed.

• Manage payments primarily through ACH and ensure compliance with company procedures.

• Adapt to constructive feedback and maintain professionalism in a critical work environment.

• Provide assistance during periods of high workload or staff absence.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for all accounts payable activities.

• Support the Controller and Assistant Controller in daily financial operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

• Strong knowledge of invoice coding and processing procedures.

• Familiarity with ACH payment methods.

• Ability to handle constructive criticism and maintain a positive attitude.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
