Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic corporate finance environment. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as you will be supporting the controller and managing accounting operations for multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely management of vendor payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts across three companies.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Assist with corporate tax filings, including sales tax compliance.
• Utilize Excel to analyze and organize financial data efficiently.
• Collaborate with the controller to support various accounting functions.
• Maintain adherence to established accounting standards and practices.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to aid decision-making.
• Work on-site during standard office hours. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax, including sales tax compliance and corporate tax returns.
• Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Proficiency in using Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Availability to work on-site from 8 AM to 5 PM.
