Description We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Paralegal to support our eviction law practice in Upland, California. In this Contract role, you will collaborate closely with attorneys to manage landlord-tenant cases, focusing on residential and commercial evictions. Your expertise in legal documentation, research, and client communication will be essential in ensuring the smooth handling of unlawful detainer matters.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and file legal documents, including eviction notices, complaints, and motions, with precision.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Conduct thorough research on landlord-tenant laws, court procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Assist attorneys with case management tasks, including tracking deadlines and scheduling hearings.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and gathering necessary case information.
• Coordinate with court officials, process servers, and other legal professionals to facilitate case progression.
• Review lease agreements and tenant correspondence to identify key details for legal proceedings.
• Compile evidence and prepare exhibits for court hearings and trials.
• Monitor the status of cases, addressing outstanding tasks and ensuring timely resolutions.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in managing sensitive client information. Requirements • Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Previous experience in eviction, real estate, or litigation law is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and legal teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
