Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in San Leandro, California. This long-term contract role requires expertise in handling payroll operations for a large workforce and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-state environment. The position initially requires part-time availability, with the potential to transition to a permanent schedule based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Manage payroll for multi-state employees, addressing specific state requirements and tax considerations.

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks and maintain employee records.

• Review payroll data for accuracy, including employee hours, deductions, and benefits.

• Handle payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 employees, ensuring timely and error-free distribution.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions professionally and promptly.

• Prepare reports and summaries related to payroll activities for management review.

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll discrepancies and improve processes.

• Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive payroll information at all times.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll operations with proven expertise in multi-state payroll.

• Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now system.

• Experience managing payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees.

• Familiarity with payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy.

• Effective communication skills for addressing employee questions and collaborating with teams.

• Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving workload demands.
