Description

Robert Half has a brand new opening with a client in Tampa, FL for an E-Commerce Developer.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position. HYBRID schedule out of their Tampa office. (candidate MUST be local to the Tampa Bay area)

This position will be responsible for design and development of eCommerce web applications on the Oracle ATG Commerce platform using JAVA, understanding requirements and guiding the project through all stages of the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather and refine application requirements that enhance website functionality and improve existing applications.

+ Work closely with the UX design team to ensure the implementation of the appropriate design elements.

+ Engage in ongoing development discussions and initiatives with the Technology Team.

+ Research and explore new technologies and ideas to improve website and commerce functionalities.

+ Take part in code reviews, promptly addressing security vulnerabilities and other issues as they arise.

+ Establish and adhere to development best practices and standards.

+ Collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and quality teams to elevate our eCommerce properties.

+ Maintain organized and updated documentation.

+ Contribute to team objectives by delivering results as required.

+ Communicate progress and identify any issues that may hinder timely task completion.

+ Participate in application release deployments.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve various issues encountered during website implementations.

Requirements

+ In-depth knowledge of Ecommerce frameworks, architecture, best practices, and tools.

+ 3+ years’ working experience on Oracle Web Commerce (ATG).

+ 3+ years of experience in application development with strong focus on Java, J2EE, JSP, JSTL, API Development (REST/SOAP)

+ Strong client-side scripting knowledge in JQuery, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, JSON.

+ Good knowledge of database fundamentals in SQL and Oracle preferred.

+ Additional knowledge of application and web servers with Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, weblogic, Node.js, Adobe, Cloudflare,S3 is a plus.

+ Ability to work independently and with team members at offsite locations.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Skilled in balancing speedy delivery with achieving high-quality software outputs.

+ Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience.
