Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in West Hartford, Connecticut. This position requires expertise in personal injury cases, with a focus on either pre-litigation or litigation processes. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills to support case management and legal proceedings.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with insurance companies to gather case details, submit claims, and facilitate resolutions.

• Request, organize, and analyze medical records and billing information for case preparation.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate case files using case management software.

• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for settlements, negotiations, or trial proceedings.

• Ensure deadlines are met and critical case details are tracked efficiently.

• Provide administrative support to the legal team in managing personal injury claims.

• Keep clients updated on case progress and address any inquiries.

• Conduct research and compile information relevant to case proceedings.

• Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence as needed. Requirements • A minimum of 3–5 years of paralegal experience focusing on personal injury cases.

• Proficiency in using case management software, ideally FileVine.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience in both pre-litigation and litigation processes.

• Familiarity with medical records and insurance claim procedures.

• Problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure case progression.
