Robert Half is partnering with a highly respected, privately held family office in the Greater Hartford area to identify a Senior Tax Associate to join their in-house tax team. What You’ll Be Doing

+ Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, individuals, and trusts

+ Handle tax projections, estimates, and extensions

+ Support tax planning initiatives and special projects

+ Assist with tax notices, audits, and correspondence with taxing authorities

+ Conduct tax research and stay current on evolving tax regulations

+ Collaborate closely with senior tax leadership and internal stakeholders

Requirements

+ 5+ years of tax experience, ideally with exposure to high-net-worth individuals and trusts

+ CPA or actively pursuing CPA strongly preferred

+ Background in public accounting, family office, or private investment environments

+ Experience with real estate-related entities is a plus

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines

+ Comfortable working in a small, team-oriented tax department

+ Experience with tax and accounting platforms (CCH, Engagement tools, Excel/Microsoft 365, and similar systems) is helpful
