Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing high volumes of accounts payable operations while ensuring process efficiency and providing training to team members. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.

• Collaborate with the existing Accounts Payable Manager to handle high transaction volumes effectively.

• Train and mentor team members to enhance their knowledge and performance in accounts payable processes.

• Process invoices, including coding and verifying for accuracy, ensuring timely payment.

• Manage check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions efficiently.

• Monitor and improve accounts payable workflows to optimize efficiency.

• Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to vendor payments.

• Assist in implementing best practices for invoice coding and payment processing.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable management, including handling high transaction volumes.

• Proficiency in coding invoices and ensuring accurate payment processing.

• Strong knowledge of check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members effectively.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Knowledge of accounts payable systems and best practices.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and vendors.
