Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the real estate and property industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive mindset to drive accuracy and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to provide clear insights into organizational performance.
• Process complex journal entries with precision, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Perform monthly allocations across branches and validate intercompany transactions for balanced reporting.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheets and income statements, addressing variances proactively.
• Review and approve corporate invoice coding, ensuring timely and accurate recording of payments.
• Track and record earnings credits for corporate entities and branches, maintaining consistency in records.
• Collaborate with senior management, branch leaders, and accounting teams to clarify financial results.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, delivering timely and accurate accounting tasks and reports.
• Identify discrepancies and inefficiencies, implementing solutions to enhance processes and accuracy.
• Support audit preparation and respond to inquiries to ensure smooth internal and external audit processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., D365 preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location organizations is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
