Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis during the upcoming tax season in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves preparing individual tax returns with precision and efficiency while utilizing LaCerte software. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely individual tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Utilize LaCerte software to streamline the tax preparation process and ensure data accuracy.

• Review client-provided documents for completeness and resolve any discrepancies or missing information.

• Maintain clear communication with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer tax-related inquiries.

• Keep up-to-date with current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance during preparation.

• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.

• Identify opportunities for tax savings and provide recommendations to clients.

• Organize and securely handle confidential client information throughout the tax preparation process.

• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and address concerns promptly. Requirements • Proven experience in individual tax preparation, preferably during tax season.

• Proficiency in LaCerte tax software or similar platforms.

• Strong understanding of individual tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax returns.

• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity when handling sensitive client information.

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in tax preparation are preferred.
