Description

Our client is seeking a Cash Applications Associate to join their Finance team. This role focuses on accurate and timely posting of incoming payments, cash application, and related reconciliation activities. Key Responsibilities:

Accurately apply and post incoming payments to customer accounts in the financial system

Research and address payment discrepancies or short payments

Reconcile daily cash application batches

Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve application issues

Prepare basic accounting reports and schedules related to cash application

Assist with month-end close and reconciliations

Support other ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a team-oriented environment

1-3 years of cash application or accounts receivable experience

Proficiency with MS Office; intermediate Excel skills a plus (vlookup, pivots, sumifs)

Demonstrated experience with payment processing and cash application
