Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Buffalo, New York. This position involves handling a variety of billing tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and maintaining efficient workflow processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate billing statements to clients in a timely manner.

• Manage billing collections by monitoring outstanding accounts and following up on overdue payments.

• Utilize computerized billing systems to ensure efficient data entry and processing.

• Maintain organized records of invoices and payment statuses for easy retrieval.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing operations.

• Generate reports detailing billing activities to support decision-making processes.

• Identify opportunities for improving billing workflows and implement solutions.

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding billing-related concerns.

• Assist in the development and implementation of billing system upgrades or changes. Requirements • Proven experience in billing functions, including invoicing and collections.

• Familiarity with computerized billing systems and software.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or finance education is a plus.
