Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing invoice processing, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the overall accounts payable function. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and proficiency in accounting systems. SAP software experience a must.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices, ensuring accurate matching, batching, and coding to the general ledger.

• Handle weekly accounts payable tasks, including timely check processing and payment scheduling.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions using accounting software systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.

• Utilize SAP and other accounting tools to efficiently manage payable invoices.

• Assist in monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to support financial reporting.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payment and address any inquiries or concerns.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools, including SAP.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with invoice processing, check handling, and discrepancy resolution.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger coding.

• Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
