Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for planning and overseeing the layout of equipment, office, and production facilities to ensure optimal efficiency and safety. This role involves conducting studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilization, as well as developing and improving work methods.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.
+ Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety.
+ Perform cycle time and bottleneck analyses.
+ Develop and improve work methods.
+ Collaborate with functional and operation managers to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
+ Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives, particularly for Workplace Organization (WO) and Logistics (LO) pillars.
+ Assist the IE Manager in various IE and WCM-related assignments and projects.
+ Perform manpower planning, leveling, and adjustments in line with assembly plants' volume adjustments.
+ Conduct direct labor, indirect labor, and ergonomic studies.
+ Engage with production management and union leadership on staffing requirements and IE activities.
Essential Skills
+ Industrial Engineering experience.
+ Manufacturing engineering expertise.
+ Time studies proficiency.
+ Plant layout knowledge.
+ Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
+ 3+ years of experience.
+ Automotive assembly process knowledge.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency or certification in MODAPTS.
Work Environment
Time will be primarily spent on the plant floor. The role requires flexibility to work any shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.40/hr.
