    We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer to become an integral member of our consulting team. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise in mechanical engineering design, contributing significantly to institutional and commercial projects from schematic design through construction administration.

    Responsibilities

    + Participate in the design and development of mechanical systems for institutional and commercial projects.

    + Work collaboratively with a team of engineers to complete projects from schematic design through construction administration.

    + Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical design tasks.

    + Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout project execution.

    Essential Skills

    + 4-10 years of consulting mechanical engineering design experience.

    + Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

    + A four-year mechanical engineering degree from an accredited college or university.

    + Mechanical PE license in the Commonwealth of Virginia is preferred.

    + EIT certification level with an intention to obtain a PE license.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with heavy industrial design projects.

    + Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.

    Work Environment

    The position requires working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid flexibility available after onboarding. The team environment is relaxed and centered around collaboration and growth. Employees are encouraged to develop their skills with the support of licensed engineers.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $49.00/hr.
