As a Production Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications according to prescription orders. This position involves medication checks, product verification, and adjusting workflow processes to enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for providing medication counseling and education to patients, reviewing physician orders, and monitoring drug therapy regimens.
Responsibilities
+ Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders.
+ Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
+ Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
+ Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence.
+ Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.
+ Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
+ Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring for expired or damaged products.
+ Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
+ Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies.
+ Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting pharmacy services.
+ Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
+ Active, unrestricted Indiana Pharmacist license required.
+ Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in additional states for a multi-state mail-order pharmacy operation.
+ Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting (preferred).
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
+ Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Multi-State Coverage: Additional state licenses may be required based on business needs and regulatory obligations; support and/or reimbursement for required licensure is provided according to company policy.
Work Environment
This role is based in a closed-door mail order pharmacy, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company is a small but rapidly growing organization, with a supportive executive leadership team and opportunities to make a significant impact. Employees enjoy being off on major holidays and weekends.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $67.00/hr.
