Job Title: Test Engineer – Aerospace Systems
Overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to validate aerospace systems, components, and subsystems against design specifications and regulatory requirements. This role ensures product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards through rigorous testing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Development
+ Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and schedules for aerospace components and systems.
+ Define test objectives, success criteria, and required instrumentation.
Test Execution
+ Perform functional, environmental, and performance tests on mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
+ Operate and maintain test equipment, including data acquisition systems and simulation tools.
+ Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during all test activities.
Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Collect and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and compliance with specifications.
+ Prepare comprehensive test reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Collaboration
+ Partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues and enhance product performance.
+ Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures.
Compliance & Standards
+ Ensure all testing meets aerospace industry standards (FAA, EASA, AS9100) and customer requirements.
+ Maintain accurate documentation for audits and certification processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
+ Experience: Minimum 2 years in test engineering within aerospace or similar industry.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Test engineering and procedure development
+ Root cause analysis
+ Familiarity with FAA, EASA, and AS9100 standards
+ Experience with thermal and vibration testing
Preferred Skills
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills
+ Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stuart, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
