    The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enhancing quality control policies and procedures. This role ensures the maintenance of ISO certification and the creation and updating of General Manufacturing Policies (GMP). The supervisor will manage all quality audits and establish testing procedures, ensuring equipment is calibrated and production records are maintained.

    Responsibilities

    + Create and update policies and procedures for quality control.

    + Maintain ISO certification.

    + Develop and update General Manufacturing Policies (GMP).

    + Manage internal and external quality audits.

    + Establish and update testing procedures, policies, and methods.

    + Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated.

    + Maintain production records and documents.

    + Record and retain material traceability.

    + Update disposition of quarantined materials and determine material release.

    + Handle change request forms and maintenance.

    + Manage customer and internal specifications.

    + Participate in the drawdown process with the Ink Department.

    + Ensure staff completes necessary paperwork and data entry.

    + Oversee and maintain accuracy of all records.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control.

    + Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.

    + Familiarity with manufacturing processes and GMP.

    + Experience with data management and record-keeping.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in flexible packaging, specifically with aluminum foil and other unsupported structures.

    + Knowledge of FDA-approved inks and coating technologies.

    + Understanding of rotogravure and flexographic printing.

    + Experience in adhesive and wax lamination, color correction, slitting, sheeting, embossing, and warehousing.

    Work Environment

    The Quality Assurance Supervisor will work in a dynamic environment focused on flexible aluminum foil packaging. This includes serving various sectors such as Confectionery, Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, and more. The facility supports technologies and processes like FDA-approved inks, rotogravure, and flexographic printing, along with adhesive and wax lamination. The role requires a focus on continual learning and promoting a positive learning environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
