We are seeking a Senior SCADA Software Developer with expertise in AVEVA/OSI PI systems. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems for industrial automation processes. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required for customer meetings or deployments.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop SCADA systems using software suites like InTouch, System Platform, AVEVA Historian, and OSI PI.
+ Configure and program SCADA software to monitor and control industrial processes, including manufacturing, energy, mining, and utilities.
+ Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and develop solutions.
+ Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software and components such as PLCs, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure.
+ Integrate SCADA systems with historians for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
+ Develop custom scripts using languages such as JavaScript, Python, and VBScript to enhance system functionality.
+ Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure accurate functioning of SCADA systems.
+ Perform system upgrades and modifications, adhering to industry best practices.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting system issues.
+ Participate in training to stay updated with the latest SCADA technologies.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
+ Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and integration with data sources.
+ Experience with AVEVA software products including System Platform, Operations Control, and InTouch.
+ Knowledge of computer networking architectures and hardware.
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.
+ Familiarity with operational data historians like AVEVA and OSI PI.
+ Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Design and architecture experience in project-based work is a plus.
+ Willingness to travel up to 25% in the future for customer meetings or deployments.
Work Environment
This position is primarily remote, with engineers potentially needing to travel up to 25% for customer meetings or deployments. The preferred location is within the EST time zone, although CST will be considered. The role may involve occasional travel after conversion to a full-time employee.

This is a Contract position based out of Alpharetta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $77.00/hr.
