    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

    Job Description

    Join a transformative pharmacy model that leverages automation and streamlined workflows to improve patient care. In this role, you will support the distribution of prescription medications using advanced fulfillment systems and ensure efficient and accurate processing of prescriptions.

    Responsibilities

    + Accurately process and distribute prescription medications using fulfillment systems.

    + Enter patient demographics and prescription data into processing systems with precision.

    + Resolve claim rejects and insurance billing issues promptly.

    + Escalate prescription-related questions to pharmacists for interpretation as needed.

    + Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients and physicians professionally.

    + Operate automated machinery to sort, count, label, pack, and ship prescriptions.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with machine upkeep.

    + Identify and communicate issues to staff as necessary.

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and quality control standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Pharmacy technician certification or certificate.

    + Experience with counting, labeling, packing, and shipping medications using automated systems.

    + Ability to enter patient and prescription data accurately using pharmacy systems.

    + Skill in resolving third-party claim rejects and resubmitting for processing.

    + Comfortable handling inbound/outbound calls with patients and physicians.

    + Basic computer proficiency with familiarity in PC operations, internet navigation, and a typing speed of at least 25 WPM.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings.

    + Advanced Typing Skills: 35+ WPM and formatting proficiency.

    + Nice to Have: Experience with automated pharmacy machinery and inventory workflows.

    + Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the state of IL.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working overnight shifts from Monday to Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This position is part of a dynamic and collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and training within one of the nation’s leading healthcare retailers.

    This is a Contract position based out of Romeoville, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
