We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Estimator with proven experience in industrial and commercial construction. This role is critical in driving successful project planning by delivering accurate, timely, and comprehensive cost estimates. The ideal candidate excels in take‑offs, conceptual estimating, and collaborating with project teams and clients to support competitive and reliable proposals.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

+ Perform quantity take-offs and thoroughly review construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

+ Partner with project managers to ensure estimates reflect project goals, budgets, and operational constraints.

+ Collaborate directly with clients to clarify project needs, discuss scope, and present clear and professional cost proposals.

+ Utilize industry-standard estimating software to develop estimates, analyze costs, and manage the bidding and proposal process.

+ Evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

+ Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and historical cost data for future reference and benchmarking.

Essential Qualifications

+ 3+ years of experience as an estimator in commercial or industrial construction.

+ Strong proficiency in quantity take-offs, conceptual estimating, and construction document review.

+ Experience working collaboratively with project managers, clients, and internal teams.

+ Proficiency with estimating software and standard cost estimation tools.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

+ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, working within a collaborative and fast‑moving team environment using advanced estimating technology. The role may require occasional site visits to gather field data, review site conditions, and support accurate cost evaluations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
