Test Engineer
Job Description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to validate aerospace systems, components, and subsystems against design specifications and regulatory requirements. This role ensures product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards through rigorous testing and documentation.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and schedules for aerospace components and systems.
Define test objectives, success criteria, and required instrumentation.
Conduct functional, environmental, and performance tests on mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
Operate and maintain test equipment, including data acquisition systems and simulation tools.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all test activities.
Collect and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and compliance with specifications.
Prepare comprehensive test reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve product performance.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for test failures.
Ensure testing meets aerospace industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100) and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and certification processes.
Qualifications
Experience in test engineering and developing test procedures.
Proficiency in root cause analysis.
Familiarity with aerospace standards such as FAA, EASA, and AS9100.
Knowledge of thermal and vibration testing.
Engineering degree required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
